In the early Spring, when the sap starts to flow, John Eiben starts collecting for this living exhibit. Join us for a presentation on fact and history of maple syrup making. John will show the process of collection, three methods of reduction, including the Native American hot stone method, and ends the presentation with a sampling of the syrup directly from campus trees.

This experience allows for immersion that brings history to life. There are a few modern day comforts, food, ice cream and coffee featuring local businesses.
The event kicks off Friday Night: featuring a community gathering with a ball and stone soup. Followed by guided flashlight tours through the buildings.
Saturday: Starts kicks off with a Pancake breakfast, followed by the Mid-morning tea and parade. Then the festivities at the campus begin, the battle takes place at 3!
The celebration concludes quietly on Sunday with a period Church service in the Museum's Church. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the natural beauty of the grounds and connect with the amazing historian re-enactors who have come to join us from all across the Midwest.
The butterfly release is a beautiful celebration and honoring of loved ones passed. Butterflies are released one by one into the butterfly garden after a memorial reading lead by a local minister. The Butterfly Release is scheduled for the first Sunday in August.
Lenox College Day is an event all about the kids of the community, a celebration of the future. Events include, bounce houses, face painting, rock painting, old fashioned games, fish pond, barrel rides, food, ice cream, a silent auction and museum tours. Come eat, socialize, let your kids run, and share with us your ideas for the future of the campus. Lenox College Day is scheduled for the last weekend in August.
Be transported back in time to the days before television. When the family would gather around to hear their favorite radio show. This 3D radio experience features stories voiced by a group of performers, live sound effect creation and music by local musicians or choirs. Dinner is included with a salad bar, dessert, and beverages! This event is held the last weekend of September.
The Delaware County Historical Society partnered with The Hopkinton Public Library to bring a new event to the Delaware County Historical Museum in 2023. A unique event unlike any other in the state. Five chilling stories in five different historical buildings, groups are lead by tour guides from building to building to hear stories based on historical fiction, folklore, and myth with local ties.
